The Ground in Le Roy

Glacial till and lake bed silt over limestone bedrock, with karst springs feeding Oatka Creek; well drained uplands but a higher water table in the creek floodplain It also affects how a grinder tracks across the yard and whether we need plywood mats to protect the lawn.

Weather Here

Continental pattern still touched by the Lake Erie snowbelt, averaging roughly 80 to 90 inches of snow a year, more than towns further east We grind stumps year round here, ground permitting, and can usually work around frost with the right equipment.
